Commenting on the Professor Martin Shucksmith’s report outlining recommendations of the inquiry into the future of crofting, Liberal Democrat MSP for Ross, Skye and Inverness West John Farquhar Munro said:

SNP unambitious for school sport – Lib Dems.

Liberal Democrat Sports spokesperson Jim Tolson MSP has criticised the government’s lack of ambition for school sports, pointing to the Liberal Democrats’ target for every child to get the equivalent of one hour of physical activity a day.

Steel Commission reconvened.

Two years ago the Steel Commission produced its first report setting out the framework for more powers for the Scottish Parliament. Today Lord Steel of Aikwood chaired the first meeting of the reconvened Steel Commission which will consider the next steps in developing a new settlement for Scotland.
