'WARM WORDS NOT ENOUGH,' SAYS SMITH

5.54.00pm GMT Fri 27th Nov 2009

Iain Smith MSP today visited Anstruther Town Hall, as part of the annual Warm Homes campaign. Mr Smith met members of the East Neuk & Landward Energy Network (ENLEN) team as well as a constituent from Kilconquhar who had received advice on financial support for replacing a boiler.

Mr Smith said, 'The best heating system in the world is of no use if it is too expensive to run. This campaign is bringing affordable heat to those who need it. Warm words are not enough to eliminate fuel poverty; they must be matched with practical measures.'
