Iain Smith MSP at the new St Andrews Hospital site

North East Fife MSP, Iain Smith, is delighted that the plans for the long awaited St Andrews Hospital were finally approved on Wednesday.

Welcoming the news, Mr Smith said," It is excellent news that the plans have been approved. This new Hospital will provide an extremely valuable and much needed service for the area. During the recent election I campaigned hard for this Hospital as it would be able to provide much more local treatment and faster diagnosis.

"It is important to note, however, that will not just be of benefit to the residents of the St Andrews area and the East Neuk, but also the wider community throughout North East Fife."
