Commenting after a Ministerial Statement on Creative Scotland, Liberal Democrat Culture spokesperson Iain Smith MSP said:
"Scotland's creative industries are suffering due to continued uncertainty about the future of Creative Scotland. Having lost a Bill, a Board Member and a Minister, at last we have some progress from this Government.
"The Creative Scotland Bill's financial resolution was rejected last June because of the lack of detail around where the finances for the creative industries would come from. This key question remains unanswered.
"I want an assurance that the short life working group will bring back clear proposals to ensure that funding for the creative industries match the responsibilities of the agencies involved.
"In particular, the funding for Creative Scotland must reflect the additional responsibilities of this new body."
