MSP WELCOMES SHELVING OF LEUCHARS CAR PARK CHARGES

North East Fife MSP, Iain Smith, has welcomed the news that Fife Council looks set to reject the implementation of car parking charges at Leuchars railway station later this week.

Commenting on this development, Iain Smith said," This is great news for the rail users at Leuchars. For those who conscientiously use the railways on a regular basis instead of driving, this extra charge would be nothing more than a tax for doing so.

"There are real issues surrounding car parking for rail users in Leuchars which need addressed, but this charging scheme is not the answer."
